Your regional councillors
The Auckland Regional Council is an elected body and democratically accountable. All thirteen representatives on the council are directly elected by the people of the region. Elections are held triennially and are next due in 2010.
The councillors are elected from within six constituencies, the boundaries of which follow those of the territorial Councils.
