Teacher information

Programming and group size

• 1 to 3 classes per day depending on location and programme
• Minimum number of students
  primary schools = 20
  secondary schools = 10
• Classes are divided into groups of approximately 20 students
• Sessions are usually 1 1/2 to 2 hours duration.
  Programmes can be adapted to your individual requirements. Some programmes last a whole day.
  

Teacher resources

• Each programme comes with a resource, one copy of which is free of charge to each school (not self-guided schools). Subsequent copies will be charged at normal retail cost.
• A teacher pack will be sent prior to your visit. This includes an equipment list for students and guidelines for supervision.

Bus subsidy - Pathway to parks

• A bus subsidy of 50-75% is available for low decile schools participating in all Learning Through Experience programmes. To apply for a subsidy complete option B on the booking form. You will be notified by letter if your application is successful.
  

Rubbish free parks - please bring litterless lunches

• Rubbish bins are not provided at Regional Parks. Your school will need to take responsibility for its own rubbish.
  Please be environmentally responsible.
