The ARC has 26 regional parks for you to enjoy! Here are eight great ways to enjoy our regional parks:
- Relax at sandy swimming beaches and picnic sites at Tawharanui, Wenderholm, Long Bay, Omana, Tapapakanga, Cornwallis, Mahurangi and Awhitu.
- Stimulate your senses with the fragrances, forms and colour of the Auckland Botanic Gardens, Hill Road, Manurewa.
- Take in the views and easy walks at Duder, Shakespear, Whakanewha, and Tawharanui.
- Start at the Arataki Visitors Centre and discover 240km of tramping tracks in the Waitakere Ranges.
- Mountain bike, canoe and abseil the Hunua Ranges.
- Experience farm life at Ambury, Omana, Tawharanui and Shakespear.
- Go camping at Tawharanui, Tapapakanga, Whatipu, Awhitu and Whakanewha.
