Application Details:

The applicant proposes to take and use up to 4,320 cubic metres per day and 1,200,000 cubic metres per year of groundwater from a Waitemata sandstone aquifer bore (300mm diameter, 198.6 metre deep, cased to 68.6 metres) and for a replacement consent to take and use up to 3,024 cubic metres per day and 780,000 cubic metres per year of surface water from the Mahurangi River at a maximum rate of 35 litres per second for reticulated municipal water supply for Warkworth Township.

Location:On road reserve of Sanderson Road (bore) and 6 Brown Road (river take), Warkworth.

Submissions

Any person may make a written submission on the application to the Auckland Regional Council no later than 4.30pm on the submission closing date. The submission must be dated, signed and include the following information:

  • Your name, postal address, telephone No. and fax No. (if applicable);
  • Details of the application in respect of which you are making the submission, including location;
  • Whether you support or oppose the application;
  • The reasons for your submission, including any conditions you may wish the Council to include if a decision is made to grant the application;
  • Whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission.

Submissions are to be served on the Auckland Regional Council, and may be posted or delivered to the ARC office, the address and fax number for service are stated above. You may also download an electronic submission form below and email it directly to consentsubmission@arc.govt.nz.

A copy of your submission must also be served, as soon as reasonably practicable, on the Applicant at the address for service stated above.

The application and accompanying information can be viewed at the office of the Auckland Regional Council Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm.
