WasteWise Schools

Get on board a growing community of schools in the Auckland region that are working towards a sustainable future.

WasteWise Schools is an Education for Sustainability programme that assists schools to reduce their waste. It promotes best waste reduction practices that students can transfer into their home and everyday life.  WasteWise Schools is supported by the local, district and regional councils of the Auckland region.

This programme supports the vision, principles and values statements of the New Zealand curriculum.  It provides many opportunities for students to practice and develop key competencies.   It can be integrated into all curriculum areas.

WasteWise Schools adopts a whole school approach and is designed to compliment the Enviroschools programme.
