Water safety education

Hints and tips for boat safety:

• carry a lifejacket for everyone on board
• obtain the latest marine weather forecast
• carry some form of communication
• always tell someone where you are going and when you will be home
• do a basic Coastguard Dayskipper course
• ALWAYS supervise children.

WaterSafe Auckland Inc.
A regional coordinating body of organisations and individuals working towards a safer community in, on and around water.

Boatsafe
Boatsafe is an education programme run by Water Safety New Zealand and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC). A website has been established which gives you all the information essential to you having an enjoyable and safe time on the water - sea, river or lake.

Coastguard Boating Education
Contact Coastguard Boating Education for the full range of recreational and maintenance courses such as Boatmaster, Yachtmaster and Diesel Maintenance courses.

NZ Maritime School
