Who is involved in the Mahurangi Action Plan?

Over 1,000 community members and key stakeholders are already involved in the action plan, including:

• rural land users
• community groups
• schools
• individuals
• forestry industry
• marine farmers
• lifestyle block owners
• quarry operators.

How can I get involved in the Mahurangi Action Plan?

There are a variety of ways you can get involved, either as a business, community group or individual:

• apply for a MAP project grant to help develop your land
• apply for an Environmental Initiatives Fund (EIF)
• attend training / workshops
• help plant trees in the Mahurangi area.
• help monitor water quality in the Mahurangi Harbour
• help survey the levels of cockles in Mahurangi Harbour
• upcoming events in Mahurangi
