Who is involved in the Mahurangi Action Plan?
Over 1,000 community members and key stakeholders are already involved in the action plan, including:
- rural land users
- community groups
- schools
- individuals
- forestry industry
- marine farmers
- lifestyle block owners
- quarry operators.
How can I get involved in the Mahurangi Action Plan?
There are a variety of ways you can get involved, either as a business, community group or individual:
- apply for a MAP project grant to help develop your land
- apply for an Environmental Initiatives Fund (EIF)
- attend training / workshops
- help plant trees in the Mahurangi area.
- help monitor water quality in the Mahurangi Harbour
- help survey the levels of cockles in Mahurangi Harbour
- upcoming events in Mahurangi
