EIF 2009 recipients

In 2009 the ARC allocated $556,409 to 124 projects around the Auckland region.

Examples of projects funded in 2009 include:

• animal and plant pest control,
• restoring marae grounds,
• promotion of community awareness of environmental and heritage issues,
• conservation plans and restoration of cultural heritage buildings,
• riparian planting and fencing to keep stock out,
• invertebrate survey,
• ecosourced native plant propagation unit,
• sustainable gardening, and
• native forest restoration and dune restoration.

The 2009 EIF round received sponsorship from Honda New Zealand. The Honda TreeFund contributed over $117,000 to support planting native trees.
