Potting native seedlings

Propagation unit

In 2006 the Trust applied to the ARC's Environmental Initiatives Fund for funding which they used to help set-up an on-site propagation and irrigation unit, for growing native plant seedlings. The aim was to use the plants to replant the coastline and other vulnerable areas of the property. To date the Trust has propagated more than 2,000 plants from seedlings of which they have planted 1,600.

During the project, the Trust has held more than 20 working bees involving both adults and children.
