- Wastewater
- The ARC is responsible for managing the discharge of contaminants to land and water within the Auckland Region. Objectives: to ensure wastewater is discharged in a way that protects the environment and public health; and to monitor the quality and quantity of wastewater.
Do I need a consent for Wastewater?
- Water allocation
- The ARC assesses how much water can be safely taken from streams, lakes and groundwater (including geothermal) sources.
- Freshwater environment

- Rivers and streams
- The Auckland region contains over 10,000 kilometres of freshwater streams and rivers ranging from tiny forest streams to large urban waterways.
