The Jubilee (official number 18565) was built as a 3-masted ship of 776 tons by the Workington Ship Building Company, Cumberland, UK in 1857. Her dimensions were 192 x 31 x 21 feet.

 

1857 Built in 1857 by the Workington Ship Building Company, Cumberland, UK.
1882The Jubilee was sold first to Australian owners in 1882 then in 1883 her registration was transferred to New Zealand.
1901The Jubilee was converted to a hulk at Wellington in 1901 and ownership was transferred to the Westport Coal Company.
1917The hulk was towed to Auckland in April 1917.
1926The register of the Jubilee was closed in 1926.
Disposal The Jubilee was dismantled in 1945. The hull of the vessel was towed out to Rangitoto Island on 15 June 1946, and beached beside the Ngapuhi.
TODAYThe remains of the Jubilee have yet to be identified amongst the ship remains on the northern side of Rangitoto.
