Rothesay Bay
The iron-hulled barque Rothesay Bay was built in 1877 by Birrell Stenhouse and Company, Dunbarton. Originally named the Activ, she measured 186 feet in length and had a registered tonnage of 698.

| 1915 | The vessel made two trips to Auckland as the Activ, between 1 September 1915 and 29 December 1915. |
| 1918 - 1920 | Another four trips as the Rothesay Bay, between 7 October 1918 and 28 December 1920. |
| Disposal | The Rothesay Bay was dismantled on Orakei beach in 1936 and the hulk dumped on Rangitoto Island. At this time she was owned by F.E. Jackson & Co, hardware, crockery and fancy goods merchants. |
| TODAY | The remains of the Rothesay Bay have yet to be positively identified amongst the ship remains on the north side of Rangitoto Island. |
