The Auckland Regional Council Parks network was established in 1965 and is made up of 26 different parks, covering more than 40,000 hectares of land with recreational, historic and ecological value. Access to all our parks is free of charge.

The exhibition features 20 sculptures by top New Zealand artists on a 1.8km trail through the Auckland Botanic Gardens.
The Hillary Trail is a four day, three night tramp through the Waitakere Ranges. The trail opens 11 January 2010 and bookings are open now.

Every Wednesday and Sunday visitors can take a free guided walk around the Sculpture in the Gardens exhibition at the Auckland Botanic Gardens.
