Tawharanui Open Sanctuary Society Inc (TOSSI) is holding its fourth Art in the Woolshed exhibition in March.
The popular art exhibition displays paintings, sculptures, glass and ceramics. The artists include some of New Zealand's best known, many of whom have exhibited in all of our previous exhibitions. First time exhibitions will also be represented.
This year we are delighted to report that all the artists in the Mahurangi Group will contribute artwork. The exhibition will be bigger and better than ever!
Proceeds from the exhibition go towards continuing the vital work of habitat restoration, predator control and re-introduction of endangered species in the Open Sanctuary.
The Tawharanui Open Sanctuary integrates the conservation of native species, farming, and public recreation, allowing visitors to get in touch with nature and the species within.
With your help we can make the Open Sanctuary a great place where we can enjoy native species flourishing in their natural environment.
The exhibition will be held at Tawharanui Regional Park in the Woolshed from 8 - 16 March. The exhibition is open from 10am - 5pm. It closes on Sunday 16 March at 3pm.
To get to Tawharanui Regional Park Take State Highway 1 north to Warkworth. Follow the signs to Matakana. Just past Matakana turn right at the Omaha turn off, drive along Takatu Rd and the park is well sign posted. (Note: the last 6km of the route is a winding gravel road).
