Awhitu House
Awhitu House, built in the 1930’s, is located just inside the entrance of the park and five minutes walk from the waterfront. Awhitu Regional Park offers a working farm and historic homestead, plentiful walks and mountain bike trails, pohutukawa fringed tranquil swimming bays and long sandy beaches.

- Turn left up the driveway to the rangers depot. The driveway is on the left of the rangers depot.

- Bedrooms: Three bedrooms, one bedroom with queen bed and two rooms with sets of bunk beds
Bathroom: Bathroom with bath and toilet, shower in laundry
Kitchen: with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, and toaster, jug, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery provided
Power supply: Power is standard domestic supply
Water: Gravity fed roof water supply
Heating: Electric column heaters are provided. Stack fire place with wood supplied in winter
Rubbish: Rubbish bin in house, please take your rubbish with you, or if staying for any length of time please check with the ranger regarding disposal
You need to supply: Bed linen, blankets, duvets, sleeping bags, additional pillows, towels, tea towels, food, personal items etc.

- Theft from vehicles is not common but unfortunately can happen. You should take the same reasonable precautions you take when parking at other locations and remember to lock your vehicle and take your valuables with you.
