Mt Smart Stadium is Auckland Regional Council's premier sporting venue. It is part of the regional parks network and belongs to the residents and ratepayers of the Auckland region.
The stadium hosts a wide variety of users. It is home of the Vodafone Warriors rugby league team and the Counties Manukau Steelers rugby team.
Mt Smart Stadium is also used by athletics clubs and Oceania soccer, for rugby sevens and touch rugby and for numerous entertainment events. For more than a decade it has hosted the Big Day Out music festival.

From North - Exit motorway at South Eastern Highway and go right towards Onehunga and Airport leading onto Church Rd. Go right into Beasley Avenue drive to the end of the one way St and park outside Gate C. From South - Exit motorway at Mt Wellington Highway and go left. Go right into Sylvia Park Road then right into Great South Road, then left into Church Street (not Church St East). Go right into Beasley Avenue drive to the end of the one way St and park outside Gate C. From Airport - Follow George Bolt Memorial Drive to South Western Motorway. Exit at Neilson Street go left into Onehunga Harbour Road then go right into Neilson Street. At the end of this Street go straight through intersection into Beasley Avenue and drive to the end of the one way St and park outside Gate C.
