SOUTH PIHA: Dogs are permitted on a leash south of Lion Rock outside daylight saving times only. NORTH PIHA: There is an off-leash area in the centre of the beach marked by green poles approx 100m north of Lion Rock. Leashed dogs are permitted in the areas immediately north and south of the marked off-leash area but are prohibited at the far northern end of Piha Beach.
