Parks Acquisition Plan

The purpose of this plan is to define the role of the ARC in relation to the protection of natural and cultural heritage, and the provision of regional outdoor recreation opportunities in the Auckland region, through its management of the regional parks network.  It also examines the respective roles of other agencies, who have responsibility for heritage and open space management in the region.  The plan considers the level of demand for additional regional parkland in response to population growth, and outlines the role of the ARC will play in securing regional outdoor recreation opportunities.
