Many of our regional parks have art and sculpture for you to enjoy.
Pou whenua
There are 12 pou whenua at 9 locations on regional parkland. Pou whenua are carved posts placed on the land to acknowledge and represent the relationship between Tāngata Whenua (the people of the land), their ancestors and their environment or tūrangawaewae (place of standing).
