Proposed Change 9: Reference to the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park Act 2000 - Operative 23 June 2008
Proposed Change 9 amends the Auckland Regional Policy Statement by inserting references to the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park Act 2000 into:
- Chapter 1 - Introduction
- Chapter 3 - Matters of Significance to Iwi
- Chapter 7 - Coastal Environment
- Chapter 8 - Water Quality
- Appendix C - Legislation dealing with Resource Management.

Appeals
One appeal was received from Waitakere City Council in respect of Proposed Change 9 (Waitakere City Council v Auckland Regional Council ENV-2007-AKL-000285). This appeal was seeking greater direction in the ARPS in relation to the provisions of the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park Act 2000. The ARC has concluded its discussions with the Appellant and section 274 parties (Auckland City Council and the Gulf District Plan Association) regarding this appeal.
