Next steps for consultation

The submission period for the draft RLTS has closed. We're currently processing all of the submissions.

Submitters have the opportunity to speak at the hearing sub-committee of the Regional Transport Committee (RTC). The dates of the hearings are scheduled for 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 (afternoon only), 11, 25 and 26 February 2010. More information regarding the hearings will be provided to all submitters in January.

What happens after the hearings finish in February?

• The hearing sub-committee will recommend to the Auckland RTC to accept or refuse any submissions, give reasons why and recommend changes to the strategy.
• The Auckland RTC will recommend to the Auckland Regional Council to adopt the Regional Land Transport Strategy for the Auckland region.
